Varden Entreprenør has chosen Norsk Interaktiv to develop a digital course in HSE at the construction site, often referred to as a PSI course (personal safety instruction) by the industry. The course has been developed, delivered and rolled out for a number of Varden's projects.
The Norwegian Labour Inspection Authority requires that everyone who is going to do a job on a Norwegian construction site must receive the necessary training and the developer must contribute to creating a safe working environment. Most contractors interpret this to mean that they must offer project-specific training to everyone who will be doing a job for the contractor, both their own employees and contractors.
By digitising this course and making it interactive, including a series of exercises and videos, workers receive customised and engaging training in their language.
Norsk Interaktiv has also developed a registration solution that is linked to the HSE card's API so that the contractor has virtually no administration for the solution. This solution means that workers can scan a QR code on their way to the construction site and complete the course efficiently on their phone. Alternatively, they have completed the course before arriving at the construction site by sending out a link to the course in advance.
In this way, Varden Entreprenør experiences better training and a safer workplace. In addition, they save a lot of time by not having to hold the courses physically. Varden also achieves a full overview of who has completed training on which projects through its admin interface in Mentorkit LMS.
