Four sessions, from idea to finished course
The training takes place over four sessions. Between each session, you will continue working on your own course, and each session starts with a review of what you have created. In this way, you build something real along the way, instead of practicing on contrived examples.
Session 1
Get started
From idea to course structure
Introduction to Creator and the workflow. Creating courses, chapters and lessons. Basic settings and navigation in the editor. Planning and structuring a digital course.
Interim work: Create own course, establish the structure and begin on the first pages.
Session 2
Build good course pages
Content and visual communication
Review of participants' work. Page types and content elements. Working with text, images, video and audio. Design, variation and principles for content that works well on screen.
Interim work: Build at least one complete lesson with varied content.
Session 3
Create activity and learning
Tasks, AI Voice and pedagogical tools
Review of participants' lessons. Questions, assignments and knowledge checks. How to create variety and activate the participant. Practical use of AI as support in content production, including for idea generation, structuring and processing of text, formulation of tasks and development of pedagogical tools. Practical use of AI Voice, both for voiceovers and multi-voice dialogues. Pedagogical approaches to make digital courses more engaging and effective.
Interim work: Complete a lesson or a smaller course with content, audio and tasks.
Session 4
Get the course ready
Testing, quality assurance and publishing
Review and refinement of participants' work. Preview and review, comments and quality assurance. Testing on various screen sizes. Publishing and export to SCORM/HTML5 and use in an LMS. Routines for updating and maintenance.
Interim work: The participants must be ready to continue production independently on their own.
Experienced course leaders, not just training in how to use tools
The training is led by one of our experienced content producers. They naturally know MentorKit Course Creator extremely well, but also have extensive experience in developing digital courses for many of Norway's largest organisations. You will therefore not only receive training in the tool itself, but also practical advice and guidance on how you can develop good and engaging digital courses.
